Immigrating To Canada

On a diet mate,though I have put weight on since being here.Went to the archery store,I very nearly spent 700 quid,they have a left hand Mathews no cam drawing 70 lb and 28.5 draw length that's my dream bow at my measurements,it was the first bow on the rack,it's like it was meant to be,but my woman wasn't so happy.One of the guys working there is starting to guide bears on a concession just north of here,really nice guy to chat to,his father-in-law is a scouser,I booked a session on the range for tomorrow.I went skating and met a guy from Hampshire who has been here for years,nice part of hants Winchester,but he doesn't bother going home to uk anymore,he was asking me about the EU referendum.

nice one mack, they do seem to have what people want in most hunting/fishing stores here, your going to have to treat the wifey now to get back in her good books lol, i hope your session goes well at the range tomorrow mate, leave the wife at home this time...lol

I always treat her really well mate,perfect example was earlier,I was watching TV and she had to clear a load of snow,I kept an eye on her and as soon as I saw she was tiring I knocked on the window and told her to come in and make herself a quick coffee,chivalry is alive and well still.image.jpeg

Her jacket cost me 400 quid last November when we were here,men's Canada goose this seasons are the same price 400 notes,UK price is 800,for some reason clothes are dirt cheap here,I just got my boys Ralph Lauren t-shirts,hoodies and cargo pants in a sale I spent 100 quid in total.As she was clearing the snow there was a jet black squirrel in the back garden it looked fantastic against the white carpet but it ran to the top of a tree when I tried to take a pic.

when we was visiting the sister in law on Vancouver island, we saw quite a few black squirrels there, along with black rabbits, and some gingery tan ones, also when we was coming back through Calgary city the other day there was a black squirrel going from telegraph poll to telegraph poll across the phone line,the funny thing was, my wife and i at the same time started to hum the theme tune to, the mission impossible film as we watched it.......lol

Ffs she's wearing a Canada goose jacket and your grudged a bloody bow?? Lol! How much would you pay for one over there mate a lot cheaper than here I guess?

I just went into sporting life to check prices Lukey,the black chilliwack bombers are 325 quid at the current exchange rate,the blue ones are 350,I tried one on as well as a Canada goose hat,I was boiling.My missus loves that shop.

i have no idea why they are black, beats me, the ones in Alaska are more like ours, on tv the other evening a guy living in the woods there shot one with a bow, it was in the pot and soon eaten, they said it was really tasty, he then said they need a few more now....lol Vancouver island is quite nice, generally warmer there than the rest of Canada, we drove through a part called cathedral grove, all trees, we had a walk around them and some were 800 years old, some had to be at least 150 ft + tall at a guess, and i'm guessing some were around 10 ft wide at the bottom, we drove past Cameron lake, its a big deep lake that's got a myth tagged to it, like the loch ness monster, people claim to have seeing something big in there, experts reckon its probably a big sturgeon or a big salamander, maybe a big eel, but like always nothing to be found when they are looking for it....lol what ever it is it camera shy.....lol but the island is very pretty in places, well worth a visit, my cousin lives on one of the smaller islands just off Vancouver island, in a log cabin surrounded by trees, they love it there, there is a small school on the island where his kids go, that's got 14 kids in it....lol, the stress free, simple lifestyle,

I wonder if that's the lake Jeremy Wade did a program on,the Canuck Nessie,I think it was a huge sturgeon?I have seen photos from a few of those Vancouver islands,my woman's brother was on lasqueti island?Just been out for a wander,snowing but not so hard,looking forward to Quebec.

Done Vancouver Island a good few years ago. Great place, went fishing with some Chinese guys and caught some big flounder....hired a camper can drove to Banff and Jasper......great country.... Your a lucky lad mate.

I wonder if that's the lake Jeremy Wade did a program on,the Canuck Nessie,I think it was a huge sturgeon?I have seen photos from a few of those Vancouver islands,my woman's brother was on lasqueti island?Just been out for a wander,snowing but not so hard,looking forward to Quebec.

i'm not sure if Jeremy wade did this lake as no one has ever got to catch this thing to defiantly answer what it is, it was only a few weeks ago on the tv about another sighting,? with that the marine scientist were back out there with all the echo sonars fishfinders and still nothing to report, it's crazy how your knee deep over the east side in snow and i'm sitting in the garden in brilliant warm sunshine on the west side in a t shirt.....lol

West side is the best side I think,though we are heading for a balmy spell next week,the coldest day in Quebec is forecast for -21 with windchill,T-shirt weather in Newcastle.

Banff national park is one of the most stunning places to visit, sheer natural beauty right in the heart of the rocky mountains, going through the Banff town still has the western looks but with a modern twist, if that makes sense, if you put banff in your computer then click on the images you can see how stunning the place is, and all the things you can do there, also the wild life that's there,seeing the pictures is one thing, but actually standing where the picture was taken is another thing, my wife and i were so overwhelmed be there all we kept saying was wow.....look at that.....wow.....the feeling you get when it's staring in the face for real, is breath taking, your know what i mean when you get there,

When I was here in February they were building a new cabelas in Kanata,its 70,000 square foot,its open now and I was in the place last week,they taxidermy is fantastic,they have some wolves chasing a caribou running past Jim shockers record moose being watched by some really nice whitetail,I am going back to the shop this week sometime,I will get some pics,if carlsberg made field sports shops.............
