Hushpower 20B?

Anybody used one? Picked up a magazine yesterday and there's a bloke shooting crow's with one they look handy just wondering what's people's experience with them really?

Had one and sold it back to the shop within a month, not as quiet as they are made out to be and the only sub-sonic carts I could get for it were 24gm 7 1/2 shot and they were bloody useless on anything other than clays, the gun was a mossburg 500 pump and I really didn't like it one bit, it just felt so cheap and plasticky, rattely (If they are even words lol) with the hushpower barrel it was a real pig to shoot but with the standard barrel it was quite a fun little gun but if I Just wanted a 20 bore I'd of bought one. I've just got a baikel .410 hush power and I've fallen in love with it! There's decent subsonic carts and even with standard carts it's very quiet. I even got a box of subsonic 24g 7 1/2s the other day and think they could be very useful for rats and pigeons! How the hell they fit 24grams in a .410 cartridge is beyond me lol but they pattern very well.

Is hushpower a make then or do they all come under the term hushpower? If not what make is your 20 monkey?

I think hushpower has (rightly or wrongly) become a general term for a moderated shotgun mate.

I don't buy subsonic cartridges ....I just shoot whatever I have or the cheapest ...some are quieter than other ...eley are quiet... to be honest theres not much difference between them

Hi mate I got them from "malmo guns" near me and they are made by cheddite, they also have a cork wad which I'd different lol

I,ve been using them chedite through the 20b ,there not the quietest but there hard hitting

these are subsonic ones for the .410 and they are really quiet, I've tried some cheddites over the season in the twelve but I just couldn't get on with them, but I've always used Eley VIP in that and some friends really rave about the cheddites? Just not for me I suppose

Cheers airgun ant some interesting cartridge that! I'll ask if my gun shop can get them next time I'm in.

 

As a side note, I asked for some eley subs and his reply was - do you like wet farts lol. I thaught they where ok when I tried them.

It was the Eley subs I had for my 20 and I would compleatly agree with the wet fart comment lol still got a few boxes here if anybody wants to make me an offer....
