man o kent 269
One thing I would say, if you are new, bring something to the table. Invite them to your own permo, and if you don't have any try and get some. You have to make the effort too 2 Quote Link to post

Bosun11 537
A newbie yes, a stranger no... As a Terrierman, just like both dogs and quarry, you do get a feel for a keen youngster. So why not, we all started somewhere... Just cut your cloth accordingly... Quote Link to post

Squirrel_Basher 17,100
Just shout " my turn " when the dog can be heard at the bottem of a dig .Keep this up for 4 seasons and if they are still keen then they might cut it lol. Only joking. The thing ive found with young uns is that they need explaining the law often as they get a bit blaise' about it all , not that we do anything wrong mind but would hate to think of them going solo and messing up . I encourage questions but dont like a babbler ,like participation but quietly. When things are going on nice i like to let them take control of an easy one and only butt in if i see a mistake thaf will affect the outcome. To see a lad with his first dig to his new youngster is as good as it gets. 5 Quote Link to post
