Fac Application Change Of Wording

Recommended Posts

A friend of mine is just about to renew his coterminous fac & sgc. I downloaded and printed the forms for him they have changed a bit since I did mine. The offence list box used to ask you to put down any new offences you may have acquired since last application. They now require you to put down all offences you have ever acquired including spent convictions . What purpose will this serve and even though over the years he has declared his misdemeanours do you think it would throw up any obstacles

I was told by my licensing authority it is a mistake with the new forms and will be rectified at some point. Meanwhile they said just put "all previous convictions declared on grant" and list any new ones.

I did a speed school a few years ago (done 2 now 3 years apart). At the end of both courses the people running the day stated that as we had attended the course we would have NO criminal record and would not have to disclose the incident to anyone legal or insurance related. I didn't put it down on a sgc application and was pulled up by my feo on it, also insurance companies pull a fast one in the wording of their application forms by asking you if you have attended a speed awareness course, you cant lie you invalidate your insurance.
