kanny 20,543
The bible is nothing more than a rewrite of old pagan storytelling about the stars earth and nature ...nothing more than story's by simple ( uneducated) people trying to make sense of it all sat round fires looking up at the night skys and seeing shapes....the resurrection is a prime example ...on the winter solstice the sun or the "son of God" stays at it lowest for 3 days after that it gets higher everyday after hence the " resurrection of the son of god "the sun" ...the bible borrows and steals from many different religions and cultures and puts its own bullshit spin on them to make them more palatable for the then emerging modern world and used as a means of law and control...I don't believe in God's or creators it's a far too simple and convenient answer I believe the truth is much more complex ed and strange. Atb kanny have you been watching "Jupiter ascending" LolMore complexed an strange, lets here your view then, them films pauls mentioned, arent real, sci fi lol lol yes I've watched Jupiter ascending and no I don't believe it one bit however I feel its probably more believable than the bible,....my own thinking now days tends to lean towards theory's like string , brane and ekpyrotic I accept they have there flaws but I believe there on the right track.... if you haven't seen zeitgeist film on religion its worth a look its the thing that put the last nail in religions coffin for me... here it is

Truther 1,579
Being serious QB, it can't all be coincidence, the life story of Krishna and that sort of thing, virtually all cultures had a "jesus" character, these stories have been told round camp fires for thousands of years mate, well before anybody wrote anything down, probably that far back that they were told before many humans existed, that would explain why people thousands of miles apart have the same stories? Quarter bull 240
I know why they have a little similarity , that means nothing, ive already stated truther, that ive been threw all other religons an philosophys, im talking hundreds of hours of research, no need to go threw it again. Good non beleif needing info, lol, well you should stay away from evoloution, thats all false beleif lol I would say go research, dna, it proves beyond beleif, dont just research one page from berkley, lol, look into properly on both sides, then independent research, then go over it again, its up to you what you do, an what you beleive, mate doesnt bother me, im just a defender :-)
gnasher16 30,118
That zeitgeist is a good watch!! But no matter what the religious nuts will have a crazy answer then a question (deflection tactics) for you lol I cant for the life of me work some folk out.......you are a total non believer who thinks religious people are nuts......yet you are then asking a believer why he believes what he does ...........why would you ask a crazy person why he is crazy i just dont get it Its like me asking a Millwall fan why he supports Millwall.......anything he tells me other than " because im a c**t " im not going to accept so whats the point asking ! How can folk so against belief in God have pages and pages of opinions about it.....it does make me wonder if yous are quite as black and white on the subject as you make out Edited April 30, 2015 by gnasher16
