I'm new to the forum and relatively new to hunting this is my pup beddy/whippet x collie/grey 9 month old, not really done much with her as of yet just bonded and covered the basics sit, stay recall retrieve etc. hoping to do much more next seasonpost-98918-0-09590500-1426033253_thumb.jpg

The two of you out together no major stimulation from other dogs, if the pup chases let him come back make a fuss and move on again

Try to manage the pup so he don't f**k up in that I mean try and only let him chase what he's supposed to chase, so you don't have to be correction him for doing what is only natural to do , it must feel natural for the pup to express his predator nature around you

Thanks, any tips you can give a novice when starting a pup

 

Nice pup. You seem to be doing alright by her already with covering the basics. Best advice I could give is see if there's anyone decent in your area who's willing to take you out and offer advice. Get her out ferreting after the summer and steady start on the lamp. Where abouts are you?
