foxbolter 447
They born whith a hart like a lion and there is no looking back regardless the earth stay whatever thats when you know one is born Quote Link to post
smithwicks 182
In my opinion half the battle is breeding and the other half is rearing. No point in having a well bred pup locked up in a pen till its old enough to be worked, you might as well bring out a head of cabbage with you! On the other hand if that well bred pup is out for daily walks down the fields getting used to sights and smells and is well handled it would hav a far better chance! 4 Quote Link to post
foxbolter 447
born I think cause u can bring a dog up right and it just wont be good you do nothing with a dog carry it to hole and will work like it has done it all its life and carry on doing it until it's life ends so born is the answer . But before you start raving I know that spending time with them and starting them right helps the dog and owner but they must be born good less u got nothing Quote Link to post
Rabbit Hunter 6,613
I hate the type of lads that leave a dog in a kennel and don't do anything with them, then take it out and expect the dog to know what to do. IMO getting the dog out as much as possible and putting as much time into it as you can is the most important thing in the raising of it. You get out what you put in. 6 Quote Link to post
foxbolter 447
I know what you are saying rabbit hunter but you definitely don't get out of it what you put into it in alot of cases trust me Quote Link to post
Zerky 133
I know a man that keeps good well bred terriers and everyone I speak to I tell them go and see how he keeps them, "he would get a chiwawa to work". Anouther mate of mine says they are all paedophiles and cant be trusted! in my eyes its the way they are brought up on is how there behave is. Most will work its just getting the best out of them. Sober tonight mate, lol. What I'm trying to say is most will work (to some degree) its getting the best out of them and some men are better than others at doing so. Quote Link to post
