why you dont lamp on bonfire night! lol

Recommended Posts

I decided that id go out for a bit local on the lamp with the pup to see what was about......bad idea :wallbash: The farmer had a go at shooting a fox but he missed so the pup didn't get to retrieve :whistling: again it was a case of a long shot at a fox that is wise and knows the lamp and where its going  Then i took aim at a hare but again missed  we are very shite shots round here :whistling: Never mind tho its all part of the fun that comes with bringing on a pup, there was no rabbits about but i wasn't really looking for them anyway, she picked one up which was alright to say it was about the only one i seen all night. Just getting her used to the lamp abit local, ready for the end of this month.....thats when she will start getting it hard

this bitch has got a very deep chest on her, she has thrown heavy to the saluki grey side  she has a very fast turn of speed and a very big stride, makes the little salukigreyxwhippet bitch look very slow, the only problem im having with the pup is she goes flying at everything and overshoots lol but that will come with experience and more runs. She is going to be decent daytime and night retriever, she don't half rag the rabbits tho like, that pic shows the good side and hides the rips :icon_eek: The c**t picked it up and ragged it and crunched it, which i don't mind.....i wanted a powerfull jaw that could hang onto its quarry and she wasn't brought for pulling rabbit

She is about 14 months mate  And frank the breeding is there  Well bred on the bull side and well bred on the saluki side  She has got a lot of potential and she will get her chance very soon. She is doing everything i ask of her up to yet, and now its all down to me....Ill do right by her and put her behind as much gear as possible over the next thew months. I would of liked her to of been a bit bigger, but saying that she is still a nice size and still upto what i want her for. She all being well should made a good all rounder, which is what i wanted.....i want a dog that will do and do well anything i slip her on. Its just down to patience, work, time and a lot of luck from now on....Cant wait to get her doubled up on some of the really big fellas :whistling: She is turning into a pleasure to work, and is coming on well....with jumping and recall. Infact she is getting like misty now....straight back to my side after each run  She has got a thing for electric fences tho :wallbash: She never fails to get a nice shock or 2, even tho there isn't much electric fencing around here....It doesn't put her off doing it again tho straight after :wallbash: That deer fencing scared her abit like but normal ribbon stuff doesn't bother her now she just jumps abit and then carriers on. Think she is getting used to it......i want to get her on some decent long ear land to give her some retrieves day time.....so it looks like thats what ill be upto on sunday  cant wait, just not sure were to go yet....
