morton 5,368
A| proper Bedlington terrier is as good as a terrier gets, lets not forget the foundation of many of the Fell breeding, where does the Black in the Fells come from,or the blue top knot in the early Lakeys,or even the blue and tan Border,Bedlington, fact. And thankfully any bedlington blood that was in the fell types has now nearly all been bred out. As it?,Many honest terriermen are now starting to realise what a little Genuine Beddy infusion offers to their hunting lifestyle, its sourcing honest Beddy stock that is the cause of the prejudice,s that the Bedlington suffers from. The Bedlington flame is flickering a little brighter because of a few resolute souls, that have the commitment and desire in ressurecting the true Working type Bedlington of old,the terrier that had a distinguished hunting lifestyle and was instrumental in the creation of many of the more popular types now, thankfully there are many lads now that are throwing the blinkers away, blinkers worn in ignorance and not from personal knowledge. The dross bred Bedlingtons have as much to do with the breed as the dross bred,Fells,Lakeys etc.,have to do with theirs. My lad as recently picked up another 2 pockets of honest permission, over 5,000 acres because of the keepers admiration for his and a muckers Beddy hybrids and their working ethic. 2 Quote Link to post

neil cooney 10,416
I don't doubt it Morton, as long as there's lads breeding terriers there'll always be the dreamers who read the history book and believed all the legends. IMO the same lads tend not to take their terrierwork serious and that's their business. JMHO. Quote Link to post
steve t 931
Advertising that as a bedlington is no different than lads advertising dogs as nuttal, parkes, wheeler whatever big name when in reality it was generations ago one of their ancestors came from those yards 1 Quote Link to post

There,s terrier work and terrier work, many read books to learn, a little book knowledge is the ruination of many a working dog.A day in honest company will teach more than a month in a library. morton 5,368
what dose dross bread mean pal ? Total and absolute rubbish.Dross should be put just after the £ sign on the majority of Bedlingtons bred now, then use it with more honesty in much of the Fell,Russel,Border and black bred uns.
