Most people will say a gos is best at hunting. Because they are fast and have the heart of a lion. But it all depends on what you hunt. If you hunt mainly rabbit then a Harris at fit condition is a sight to behold. They can work of the glove or work or perch/tree. They will also take other game inc pheasant moorhen Ducks and more .However in fair full flight they don't do so good in a wing on wing flight. This is were the gos comes in to its own. If your main quarry is birds then a gos is the way to go.....as for eagle owls. ....they apparently will take rabbit hare fox and small deer however they are ment to be a pain in the arse for trading if kills so army realy used as much
