OldTrapCollector 377
it wont sell You never know - I was at an auction once where two broken and rusted-beyond-hope common gin traps sold for over 200 - people are so unpredictable, one can never account for idiocy 2 Quote Link to post
mazperks 18
Bury your old scissor traps in the back garden, leave for ten years, pension plan solved. O.T.C. Just out of interest when were the first claw traps made? Edited March 8, 2015 by mazperks Quote Link to post
OldTrapCollector 377
Cast iron scissor traps were being made by the Midlands foundries in the 1800s Quote Link to post
Nicepix 5,650
There are a lot of traps being sold by Bulgarian and Turkish sellers as 'antiques' that are just rough and ready jobs they've recently made. 1 Quote Link to post
shropshire mole 190
Talking of claw traps, we really should be praising the inventors/makers of these awful traps. They don't work very well, most folk who have a mole in the garden buy them try them and fail to catch the mole, and then call in a pro. I get a lot of work this way 2 Quote Link to post
torchey 1,328
I go to a lot of jobs with traps in the gardens , i don,t even bother to tell them to pull them up just set me traps catch the moles and leave them scratching their heads lol 2 Quote Link to post
Ratmanwan 66
Don't know what you lads have against scissors, I catch plenty in mine. The only downside I can see is you don't catch doubles. Quote Link to post
Rowan 308
Bargain hope its still for sale , the green hammerite sells it for me. Quote Link to post

I could build a small wall with the Beagle traps I've found laying about in gardens, and loads of those French Detaupers that everyone thinks blows moles up. The best device for me though is those ultrasonic deterrents. I always place some of my traps near those and regularly catch. When you see or hear about all the methods the customer has tried you know that you are onto a winner. Quote Link to post
