End Of The Season, Time To Chill

Recommended Posts

That's me done till September had a great winter with the dogs, caught bigger bags in previous years but for me this winter has been the best, had some great nights lamping with great company and some fantastic days mooching/hunting and possibly the best day I have had this season was the last time I was out bolting some rabbits to the dogs last week on some high ground.

We accounted for 18 rabbits between 3 dogs which isn't a big bag by Abu means but the quality of the runs and catches had me buzzing all day even on the drive home me and my two pals were non stop talking about the day we just had and were saying how little we use the ferrets and next season we are going to try get out with them a hell of a lot more.

Fair play JCM. How's that pup coming on what you had out of your dog?

He's doing alright he is 10 month old tomorrow and had two rabbits up to now, he hasn't seen a lamp yet and I have a hell of a lot of training to do with him as he will not retrive for love of money. Got him jumping fences last week but still keeping him away from barb wire fences and he still runs and jumps daft like a pup does but his prey drive is something else he is gunna be a do or die type which I hope he isn't and hopefull with time he will use his head more.
