fat man 4,741
Well the trout season on my local lake opened on the 1st but weather and personal reasons prevented me from goin.I was speaking with a friend on wed eve and he and another chap braved the elements, snow, sleet and bitterly cold and caught 9 fish rangeing from 73/4 to 4 1/2 lb in weight, all wild brown trout.I intend to go this coming sunday morn so hopefully bring home the tea. 1 Quote Link to post

neil cooney 10,416
Nice trout BT, glad to see you put him back. He's quiet lean and will be a good bit heavier in a month or two. A couple of years ago I watched a fish of similar size all Winter and on my first cast of the year I caught him. He was long but lean and because he was deep hooked I killed him. Pity, he'd have been a 4 pounder a month or two later. Quote Link to post
