Splashed Out

Just splashed out on 20 new Talpex traps from Killgerm,they landed up this morning,so i have put 4 in the ground today, put them in where i had some trap fills with flat packs barrels, see how i get on, i have caught with them before but never had a lot of faith in them, now i;ve spent a few quid i will have to stick with them.

How did they compare on price with buying them from Ratbait Brian?

 

Funnily enough (not funny at all really) I had to spend yet another hour today looking for one of my new Talpex traps that had been removed from a good run.... Bloody badgers anyway, found it in the end, minus it's catch, so at least I only lost a tenner....

I deal with killgerm a lot, so asked them for best price on 20, i did alright. Badgers are a real pain here aswell lost some new stainless ones to the black and whites one night, felt like i;d been kicked in the teeth.

They aint the real deal from killgerm though, are they?

 

I thought ratbait was the sole distributor for taplex in the UK.....??? Anyone?

Killgerm sell genuine Talpex that they buy in off Ratbait.

I can buy them locally for just under ten euros. That is £7.20 at the current exchange rate so anyone coming over on a booze cruise could do with looking in at a Gamme Vert garden centre while they are here.

Plus £50 to post them. Killgerms postage costs are just out and out extortion.

I think it depends on the customer

 

When I had buying power I used to laugh at the 'list' prices

 

I can see that some pest controllers would put a few traps on top of a bigger order and it would be worth it

 

But for me, these days, I'd buy from the importer.

Kilgerms postage is under £7 and if i spend more than £125 there is no postage, i just looked on Ratbaits site and i payed less than they are selling them for.

I used killgerm for my wasp stuff, always spent over a 100 quid at a time with various bits, they always charged a lot for postage, which is why i now use a different company.
