skycat 6,174
Dogs shouldn't have food left down all the time in the first place. Feed once or twice a day at most. I had one bitch that refused to eat anything except whole carcases all the time she was pregnant. She ate rabbit, hare, pigeon: fur and feather on: wouldn't touch dry or even minced meat. The moment she'd had the pups she ate everything I gave her: dry, mince etc etc. Quote Link to post
twelsh 348
Its put down first thing on morning when dinner time comes i take that away then try somert else but no luck would she do this if shes having phantom pregnancy Quote Link to post
desertbred 5,490
the symptons of a phantom pregnancy are no different from normal pregnancy they dont usually last as long but should be able to tell if she is in pup or not if you dont know ask someone whose bred a few or take her for a scan. if she is carrying pups and not eating could be all sort of complications. twelsh 348
Its not normal for bitch to go off her food she always eats whats in front of her really this is whats confusing me Quote Link to post

leegreen 2,210
I had dog once that wouldn't eat shite food. What do you normally feed her? Pregnant bitches should be given the best not the most. Only two weeks to go and you'll know. What X is it? Quote Link to post

NOOK/ANNA 96
Yes,mate back teets dropped and sagging. As said second time she's had a phantom. In my opinion they're actually worse going through a phantom that if they where pregnant. Well this bitch is anyhow. Quote Link to post
twelsh 348
The only thing i cant get my head round is i bred her she was eating very well then now just over 7wk shes eating bits i mean bits shes never fussy over her food cant work it out Quote Link to post
Donna Wildwood 288
Is she eliminating as normal? Drinking as normal? Any discharge at all. If she were mine I would take her temp. She's probably fine but she could be starting pyometra. If not maybe pups are taking up room inside more than showing outside, try feeding a tiny portion, if she eats it then feed her little and often. Sometimes looking at a mountain of food can put em off. How is she on her walks? Quote Link to post
twelsh 348
Drinking fine bouncy out on walks everything as normal but happy drinking eating bits Quote Link to post
