uru 341
The chain is only to hold him still long enough for a photo. he was kept in a kennel. My friend got the dog from me and he was just like a hummingbird always moving too much to get a decent picture. Thank you Quote Link to post

AXUM 255
Bit controversial to call that a Lakeland, more fell or patterdale 2 Quote Link to post
uru 341
Bit controversial to call that a Lakeland, more fell or patterdaleThank you TigerAxum I agree, and you'll see where I edited a couple of times adding then removing. But I have people tell me he is a black lakeland and honestly after yrs I still am confused by what constitutes a Lakeland,Fell,and/or Patterdale. All nice dogs on this topic but I've seen a couple that myself, I would call a Patterdale, but folks have termed Lakeland. And I've owned a few that I would call Patterdale but older terriermen referred to as Lakeland. Black Lakelands, white Lakelands, do they exist and if yes, what makes them so?Pedigree/bloodlines? Physical traits? I don't know. Take care Edited March 13, 2015 by uru 1 Quote Link to post

Keepbordersworking 103
Maybe wrong but in my opinion all smooth blacks and reds are classed as Patterdale types and all black Black and Tan and red rough coated terriers are classed as working Lakeland types even though you can get the two coats in the same litter JMHO.
