nottzhunter08 898
Well thanks to tomo and vin who invited me out on their permission for a days ferreting, It was a super day and thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it, The weather wasnt ideal for standing around ferreting as it was very windy and snowing but we still cracked on, I took LASS and tomo had his young bitch also vin brought along his pair as our intentions were bolting to dogs, first place me and tomo split up from vin to ferret seperate warrens, we was bagging a few from each sets high on the hills with the dogs catching a few and digging a few out we also had a fair ammount from hole ends which ferrets had hold of, In parts the snow was knee deep so after a few sets we met back up with vin and accounted for a decent ammount of rabbits so we headed back to motor to try a different farm on the lower ground were we was hoping there was less snow settled, After one of vins tea specials and some sausage rolls we shot off, the next place their was still a fair ammount of snow down but we carried on ferreting catching a few more here and there in different warrens the dogs had a few rabbits that were sat in cover, after abit we called it a day and ended on 37 rabbits, as i said it was a mint day regardless of the weather and also in great company, Cheers for the invite guys muchly appreciated, Vins gonna put some pics up, thanks for looking 14 Quote Link to post

Guest vin
The weather wasn't in our favor today..But we still had a few...To be Honest on the high tops it was too easy for the dogs and not very sporting or in any way a challenge for the dogs.. We packed up and came down from the tops because we don't want to wipe out every rabbit on our permissions. They are having it hard with this Snow coming at this time of year up there. Its not so bad lower down on the bottoms of the valleys etc etc.. So we finished our day on some other areas we hadn't been on this year. here they go on the way up the hills.. you can see young Nottshunter is keen to get there.. This little video clip will give you an idea of how beautiful it was..even though it was cold..its still amazing up there.. http://vid1210.photobucket.com/albums/cc414/vincevoxbox/early%20start%20up%20on%20the%20tops_zpsjmbpaipd.mp4 lower down wooded bankings..etc etc. video clip. http://vid1210.photobucket.com/albums/cc414/vincevoxbox/bolter%20caught%20in%20entrance_zpsupzf9oep.mp4 [/url end shot Edited March 3, 2015 by vin Quote Link to post
