CraignTod 278
Body score is a better way of correct size/weight, have a look at body scoring on saluki/whippets because its different to other breeds Quote Link to post

jwhizz420 177
I can't keep weight on my 7 month whippet pup, no matter how much I feed him, the more I feed him the more he shits, 4 small meals a day seems to be working Quote Link to post
FUJI 17,327
Pups want more protein than both 18 or 22% biscuit..dip your hand into your pocket if your just feeding biscuit buddy and buy a decent quality puppy biscuit which will have at least 28% protein in and be much higher in fats than the cheap stuff..cheaper biscuit is 8 or 9% fat/oils the puppy stuff is 16-20% ..give it a go and let me know how you get on? 3 Quote Link to post
leethedog 3,071
Like has bin said get a good puppy biscuit and add any meat but not pork oily fish is good and feed 4 times a day brown bread mixed in is also good carbs which help the body store fats good luck Quote Link to post

Gaz_1989 9,539
get some tripe down it with a good lamb/goats milk cooked chicken feed it twice a day dont leave food down for it so it can pick Tripe, chicken and goats milk. Exactly what my pup is getting chucked down her at the moment. Plus the odd scrambled egg, tin of sardines in tomatoe, slice of brown bread, chicken wings and turkey necks. Can't beat it. 3 Quote Link to post

slip lead 862
Is the dog Out side in a cold kennel????? I have found with whippets that only the very best biscuit(orijen being one) will gain-hold required weight. But beef with a fat content of 20% is best imoa. 2 Quote Link to post
