Rabbit numbers have taken a real nose dive around this area these last few years. I was looking through my game diaries the other night and I noticed a rapid drop in 2001 I caught half the number of rabbits that year as I did in 2000 and it wasnt through anything different that I did, as I was out just as much, then in 2002 there was another drop of a hundred or so, 2003 saw rock bottom, I caught just 94 rabbits that season :icon_eek::thumbdown: , but I have a feeling that may also have been the year I injured my back and didnt get out as much, I dont bother keeping a diary of my general life etc  which is something I maybe should start doing  2004 saw a decent increase back up to treble figures again, 2005 was down again by about 50, last year saw another drop of 30 but this year to date I have had 359, so numbers are on the increase again, going purely off the game book records. Anyone else got any facts/figures to show the rabbit numbers in their area?

There are very few rabbits around where i live, the mixy has hit them hard this year. There also seems to be alot more people that has taken up ferreting and lurcher work this year so the numbers are going to be next to nothing by the end of the season. Looking like im going to have to travell to get my game this season, thats when my new pup is ready.
