arcticgun 4,548
Yes there will be plenty going out killing now in numbers bigging there dogs up that couldn't put a bend in during December and Early Janurary. I'd wager there be far more lurcher owners hunting out of season than owners of pures, but that's down too the individual not the dog, ran my last hares Sunday , weren't you lads out? Sure I read you had your greyhound out? Might be wrong like Edited March 4, 2015 by arcticgun Quote Link to post
FUJI 17,327
Be nice to see a hare Max haha..I was out this morning just on the forestry track and seen a Roe fawn not 6 weeks old..now if that doesn't prove the seasons are no guidelines as and when to hunt and when a quarry is supposedly at its best then I give up lol..I was gobsmacked to see the little tyke,I had the camera but it wasnt long after daylight was breaking so couldn't get a snap of it..thankfully I clocked it before the mutts or it would of been chicken fodder..never seen a young Roe so early? FUJI 17,327
Really Prob oct - end of feb is more like it ? I suppose if you didn't hunt the months you caught the odd thing in young or the young uns themselves we needn't bother lol..I've never known a year like this one to be honest but I suppose its not been as wet this year which may be one reason I've been seeing young on the ground for a little while now? Its not been particularly cold either for any length of time so again another reason why they may of bred sooner or even all year round? Quote Link to post
