The Old Ways Are The Best..........

Recommended Posts

It's good to see the old stuff still in use, made in a time when mass production of such things were unheard of, and each one made in a old shed by a bloke who had spent hours refineing what he did, learning by his mistakes they were the true trappers,

they were the first type of trap i realy used....just because i didnt have the money to buy any...some pipe...some bag ties..and some wire pinched off the railway fence and away you go....

i also soon learned how to make a trap from the same thing for birds of the game variety :whistling:

I was spoiled and never had to use those traps, my grandad did, I spent many hours with him, and he was very good with them, but everyone started using Poison worms, when that happened granddad said they were waster's, and packed in just about all together, I was a bit young, then but took to trapping them for a couple of local farmers, with tunnel traps, in a small way granted, but I could turn my hand to most things with a trap, the old Man schooled me well with traps, I have to say I couldn't have been brought up in a better environment,
