Early Morning Trek..

Recommended Posts

Great pics mate in some stunning country.Dogs look in cracking fettle.Good to hear someone who holds a pup back a little and let them mature a bit. A lot of lads now seem to expect them to be doing it all by 12 month old.Even if their physically right more often than not their head aint .I'd rather leave em a little later than spoil them.Must of been some potentially good prospects ruined. good on you atb.

Thanks everyone for the replies,I appreciate them all ? Morton I'm not far off 50 now bud so although I'm still good for a 20 mile hike on the fells its at a far more sedate pace then 20 years or so ago but I still enjoy getting out onto the fells and until I'm physically unable I will keep plodding away ? Redquil I'm one of the VERY patient types when it comes to entering my dogs into work,I've always worked to the tune of "would you send a child to do a mans job" ..I'm not saying its the right way but its my way lol..

Im 54 Fuji and am still fitter than many half my age, when i get out with my lad and his younger associates i have to be in front, first over the wall or gate, fastest up the hill and quickest to the catch, with wisdom ive learnt the art of passing responsibility without some of them knowing im having a rest, which i often do around the nearest wall or " oer t,hill" away from youthful eyes,i cannot keep this charade up for to much longer before they catch me out, they possibly know as im the first to fall asleep on the journey home.

Keilder forest was one, can't remeber the other but it was about 10 years or so back when they first opened up the MTB trails.

Cheers, D.
