A First For Me.

Today I went out with the ferret for the last time this season, all was going well with no young uns.untill I hear a screaming coming from one hole so I got my locator out and searched but the ferret wasn't held up it was moving round so gave it a few mins. Then the ferret came out with a baby rabbit about 4 weeks old in its jaws.i was shocked I had heard many story's about ferrets bringing kills out but never believed them. has anyone else ever had this.

Yeah I had it before with my old hob he only did it once he put it outside the hole and went back down again

first ferret i had used to drag adult rabbits to the entrance of the hole.... if I didnt grab them quick enough they'd bounce round like hell once they were out of the tunnel. As a kid, i just wanted to use my shiny new locator and dig to him..... how green can you get?

Albino hob i had years ago done it good few times, i reckon it was cause he couldnt see well and couldnt tell if he was in the burrow or not. The bews and polecat coloured one i have now, no chance, if they catch near the entrance to a burrow the rabbit gets dragged back down the hole kicking and screaming.

Believe it or not I used to get about with an old boy who had a jill that would play fetch with a ball of paper she would bring rabbit kits out he tought her to fetch with small bits of raw chicken
