So you're trying the (original) Talpex Bryn, have you given up on the Putange type traps? I'm still undecided whether to get some myself. It would be a shame to get 20 sent over from france and find I dont like them, so if you want to offload a couple let me know. I'm not too far from you (south Durham.

I recently got a few Talpas to try, and the handles certainly make a difference to easy setting. If the Talpex is even more powerful then it must be a beast, as these Talpas seem more than adequate for the job.

Having said that more power in the spring will give that extra confidence in heavier soil.

I'll hang on to the nomoll traps as they will have a purpose I suppose, maybe good for around paving and patios.Iv'e fired out all the talpex today and half a dozen duffus, could only do half the paddock as it's got some activity in the other half tomorrow.

Well pleased with the talpex and ease of fitting once you get into the swing of things, lets see what tomorrow brings and I'll stick another 20 out on the other side.

Seems it's just me lol, once you set the trap hard, simply stand it up and you can see a piece of the bar just showing through the plate hole.

get a pencil and slowly apply pressure to the underside of the trip bar and you will get a definite jolt as the pin slides up a tad (it's visable),now look under the plate hole and you'll see the pin has slipped to the very end.

Hard to explain on here but try it, all mine are the same new out of the box.
