Bad Foot Injury, Flesh Wound Down To Bone

Just been away for a couple days so had to rely on my dad to look after my old dog whilst Nottz looked after my pup. This morning I have recieved bad news and fly (my old dog) has ended up at my mates house and has been injured very badly. Shes obviously in pain but relaxed, but now im in a shitty predicament as I don't have insurance, I cant afford any expsensive vet bills and im not acceptable for free vet care from the pdsa. All my dad could say was " I must have left the gate open" . this is fooking shit. More bad luck and the old dog could do without this. will post a pic asap and let you know what happens from here. Any advice?

If the dog is in pain it'll need a vet unless you have any to hand

if not in pain just keep it clean some iodine on it maybe need some antibiotics

tbh rew if i couldn't afford a vet bill i would not have a dog but get someone on benafits to take it pdsa

f**k! I`d want my dog to see the vet. Even if they cant do much, its on record you took the dog for treatment.

the vet will flush clean and give you anti inflamms /antibiotic /pain killers ect find some one.in receipt of housing benfits and get up pdsa they do a good job for what they are. Looks quite nasty too hope you get it sorted atb

Not cost much at vets 30 quid to see them prob 15 quid for antibiotic and some metacam keep it clean

Ibuprofen(small dose) or calpol for pain Keep it clean with saltwater and bathe with epsom salts as much as you can throughout the day.. Get some anti biotic if you can,but dont panic.. If you havnt got the money for vets then you havnt got it. Wounds like that can be healed open with time. It will heal a lot quicker with epsom salts..It draws the red blood cells to the surface where they are needed..

If you have a good vet I agree,but it depends,some of these pet vets will soon run it up..Best to ask for cost first..

I can get medication I need. Asking around now to see if anyone can help with benefits.
