Spaniel Lurcher Combo

Recommended Posts

Use to have mine out with the lurchers most days.put plenty out for them.ill have a couple of bull/springers for next season hopefully

A bull crossed with a springer???

I've just been given a fully trained springer by a friend and I'm looking forward to seeing it go with the lurchers... I think in theory it should be a good tool for hunting hedgerows etc but whether or not it'll work in practice I won't know

I found a springer when I was a kid skin and bone and full of mange and the dog didn't look much better ha I got him back to himself. I brought him out with my mates dad and was a brilliant worker He would smash trough Heavy cover and thick ice in water and would retrieve any Game that was shot that was the dog that got me into hunting

I've got 3 spaniels but won't use them with the lurchers as I don't want them chasing rabbits when I'm out beating with them they are always after rats round the garden

the father in law as a springer i used to take out with the lurchers after rabbits , and she was took beating once a week (as well as us shooting over her a couple times a week) and she never went after rabbits once while shooting. she was a pretty good mutt in her day but now at 14 her days out working are over .
