Trapping Ducks

Does anyone have any advice on trapping ducks I'm struggling catching up this year iI got 2 traps at 5m ×2.5m with two funnels on each trap baited with wheat or maize. Any advice would be great.

where abouts are you mate? i think in england at least you are supposed to have caught up all your layers etc BEFORE the season ends now?

imo their is simply nothing more easy to catch than a hungry duck! we used to get hundreds a day in the pheasant catchers!

 

put a full bag of wheat on the floor by the pong once its all gone put a bag down again with a trap on top of it......simples..also ducks like partridges can often find their way out over time

Its what I done but these ducks don't want to eat from the trap. The trap have been baited for two weeks all open so they can come and go but the food just beening eaten. Just struggling this year

Hi, what kind of trap are you guys talking about? I new to the trapping thing.

Maybe someone has a link or a picture from the trap?

I have no experience catching up ducks but, I have found with live trapping the bigger the trap the less wary the pray is of it. could you make the trap larger? just an idea.
