Guest vin
Hello all. I usually use my strongstuff dog's lead with a ring on handle end as game carriers... I can get 20 bunnies on 1. Recently a very nice fella gave me a proper nice leather Game carrier ( Thanks Phil )..But when I loaded it up with bunnies I found they were dangling way too low...lol... hitting me on the knees and back of legs as i walked up hill and dale..etc etc. It had an adjustable strap,But with it on the smallest setting it was still too long. . ( it doesn't help when your a tiny person like me ). So yesterday I was getting full on my other straps and needed to use this new one... I had a brainwave and cut the adjustable strap off and joined the buckles up with Cable Ties. . . It now is perfect for my size and the bunnies sit perfectly on my top half without falling off. . . Cable Ties are the best thing since Garlic Bread..lol. Next one I need is a way to join 2 of these type of carriers ( or any other type ) together on your shoulders by means of another strap type thing so that the carriers stay tight on your shoulders together and don't keep slipping and sliding off as you move about.. sort of how you get rucksacks with straps going across your chest and back holding the shoulder straps in place. ( it makes sense to me but my explanation might confuse. ) Quote Link to post
richie1984 191
Does the job mate.I'd round the edges off where you've cut the ties incase you catch your neck on them.I've had plenty of cuts off the ones the sparky puts around work.at rich Quote Link to post

Jax13 251
i'd cut the cable ties and use a lenth of paracord or similar with some sort of running knot or a chain of knots, not as likely to snap, no sharp edges and wouldn't look quite as bodged either. if you had two of them and wanted to join them together, stitch 2 D rings to one side of each carrier, 1 either side (4 in total, 2 down the inside edge of each carrier, one on the front carrier one on the back carrier. you could then use a narrow belt, length of webbing strap or similar to tie the two carriers together to stop them slipping off your shoulders. perhaps a simpler option if you need to carry large numbers would be to buy yourself a roe sack and just chuck 3 or 4 carriers-full into it. The one 8,481
I would cover the cable ties with tape to stop them catching on stuff . But I got two carriers off of blue pocket rocket on here one longer one for over the shoulder and a smaller one for holding in your hand and there the bees knees Quote Link to post
