I started off with the Talpa's, but I had a frustrating year of not catching in them despite the trap being triggered. I was told by a certain person on here to set them so fine that 'a goldfinches fa

I believe that the issue with the talpa firing and not catching has nothing to do with spring strength. Alas, our strict non educational policy does not allow me to elaborate

As already said and as I've said before - ratbait are a great company to deal with. Fast delivery and genuine Talpex traps. I have 70 Talpex all from ratbait which have paid for themselves many times over and its rare for me to have one go off without a mole in. I do make one small modification to them which helps too.

I had a couple of foul catches with the Talpas.

 

I think the main difference between them and the genuine article is the spring power :yes:

 

The only modification that I can see that might be desirable is a slight bend in the trigger :yes:

 

You lads that want to penny pinch carry on :thumbs: I charge enough to ensure that I can buy good quality kit that lasts. In fact, I think that most of my traps will still be working when I'm buried :thumbs:
