mazperks 18
Hi Butler where did you get your "Talpex" from, at that ptice it's worth having a few as backup traps. Quote Link to post
Butler 396
Off eBay plenty to choose from.... I got all the horror story's buy shite buy twice and all that but up to now they've been good as gold see how they fare after a few months underground but I'm guessing they will be fine.. 1 Quote Link to post
Mr Muddy 141
Had a look at the ratbait site; marginally more expensive than KG - but cheaper if you use the free delivery deals. Their half barrel traps look very reasonable; but I'm guessing there's a good reason for that - anyone tried them? Quote Link to post
Nicepix 5,650
I bought two Talpex type a couple of years ago. Both worked fine for a few weeks then both started jamming. Scrap metal now. Quote Link to post
Phil Lloyd 10,738
I think that Ratbait are going to do real well with that free delivery thing.... I've taken full advantage of their genuine Talpex offer,...a large consignment of good steel is on its way... 1 Quote Link to post
bryn27 89
Ordered last night and they will be here tomorrow, cracking service that. 1 Quote Link to post
davedavedave 69
As already said and as I've said before - ratbait are a great company to deal with. Fast delivery and genuine Talpex traps. I have 70 Talpex all from ratbait which have paid for themselves many times over and its rare for me to have one go off without a mole in. I do make one small modification to them which helps too. 1 Quote Link to post
bryn27 89
What would the mod be triple Dave? Quote Link to post
Matt 160
I had a couple of foul catches with the Talpas. I think the main difference between them and the genuine article is the spring power The only modification that I can see that might be desirable is a slight bend in the trigger You lads that want to penny pinch carry on I charge enough to ensure that I can buy good quality kit that lasts. In fact, I think that most of my traps will still be working when I'm buried Quote Link to post
davedavedave 69
Yep as Matt said a slight bend in the trigger plate . Not strictly necessary but something I like to do and gives me a near 100% success rate with Talpex traps. Quote Link to post
Furry chaser 17
Anyone used the barrell traps from ratbait Quote Link to post
