Joe 2
I'm so pleased for you mate. Its such a happy feeling. I lost my hob about 6 weeks ago in a massive earth, which I was silly to ferret. I set a trap, left his box there and visited four times a day. This went on for 3 days untill he was been spotted in a garden of a cottage that was located in a large wood 1/2 a mile and across a busy road from where I had lost him. It was still unlikely that I was going to find him. I started to check the sheds and out buildings but there was no joy. I spotted a scruffy greenhouse that was 20 yards from the sheds and aproached it. When I entered I thought I could smell a slight ferrety smell so gave a whistle...... nothing. I was so close to leaving but just incase, I gave a second whistle. Out he climbed from a top draw with an old newspaper in it. I couldn't believe it. Quote Link to post

Crow 1
Excellent  I had to leave my best worker after a rumbling below ground resulted in a fox bolting - I set boxes, went back, but nothing. Anyway, I'm glad that it's not always bad news. Quote Link to post

MikeTheDog 153
I am well pleased for you mate!Hope she doesnt get lost to ground again. So do I!.... She's a sound hunter and a direct decendant to my albino jill, that many from here and smoochers have had kits from.. Both are stayers and excellent hunters, not the type of ferrets to feck about when there's work to do!...Many thanks to all who helped give me hope... Quote Link to post
