Hareydave 1,214
Ray would take 4 days carving a spoon and slowly fade to death when he realised he cant go to Fortnum & Masons to buy anything to use it on but boy he'd look good in his expensive gear...! 'Bear' must have a 'constant camera' to fully bring out his cool manly skills and budget wardrobe. Without one he'd go mad staring at his reflection in clear pools... They are both bellends... lol
MoChara 1,632
Was surprised to learn bear was from donaghadee county down. Not more than 10 mile from where I live.

The Seeker 3,048
Bear for me, one of the youngest to summit Everest, black belt, SAS (admittedly only TA but even still) the guy is just a survivor. Plus he is an ambassador for the scouts which my lad is part of I admire Ray greatly but I think I wouldn't survive a week with him as I would probably top my self through boredom.. mackem 26,544
I think grylls summiting everest had more to do with the sherpas and the cash to get onto an expedition to be honest, theres a 13 year old kid climbed it its to do with getting a place on a decent expedition rather than technical ability, brian blessed attempted it 3 times always without oxygen, grylls is more a showman entertainer he was once caught out supplementing an erupting volcanos smoke with a smoke machine, his credibility evaporated at that stage.
Blackbriar 8,569
Was there any truth in the rumours that Bear retired to a comfy hotel at night, when he was filming one of his series ??
OldTrapCollector 377
I have had the pleasure of working with both and they each have their merits, both very knowledgeable blokes in their field

Come on mate you aren't for one minute saying climbing Everest is achievable if only you've got the cash are you? Many many experienced climbers have died trying. I dont really care if someone's been born with a spoon in their mouth or not, I judge a person on their character not their social standing.

Grylls also climed Everest 18 months after a Parachute accident that nearly paralysed him.The 13 year old kid had his own team to get him up there, they decided to climb from Tibet, missing out the notorious Khumbu Icefall.
