Rabbit Traps For Rats

Recommended Posts

They are on a farm my daughter lives on and not allowed to use killing traps or snares, only live traps or an air rifle. The door is solid which drops down on a hinge from the inside when the plate is pushed down and a bar drops to keep door closed

In which case you need to educate whatever idiot has decreed that only live traps can be used

To my mind, there's nothing crueller than confining a wild animal (even a rat) in a cage when you could dispatch it safely and efficiently with a simple break back trap that's been safely set up.

The rabbit trap is far from ideal, but should work if the pan is light enough!

Question is, have you a means of propper dispatch when you do catch?
