Craig Fosse 286
As the title suggests really guys, I have a feeling my problems with my s200 may be the chrono I'm using, so I'm needing something accurate enough to help me set my rifle up but not hundred of pounds but reliable. treecreeper 1,136
yes, they are brilliant as long as you line them up so you don't shoot the end off. they are only about 8 quid to repair though. Quote Link to post
villaman 9,983
Yes mate they are very good ,worth buying the aliment tool to make sure you line it , all so one of these to hold it on the barrel , even on spring guns it will not move &ff14=108&ff19=0'>http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/181651559672?limghlpsr=true&hlpv=2&ops=true&viphx=1&hlpht=true&lpid=108&chn=ps&device=c&adtype=pla&crdt=0&ff3=1&ff11=ICEP3.0.0-L&ff12=67&ff13=&ff14=108&ff19=0 Quote Link to post
G Salmons 0
I'd go with a combo no problem - I got one and snapped the v plate (don't ask!), and robin at combro sent me a free replacement case! Quote Link to post
Craig Fosse 286
Superb looks like that's where I'm headed thanks Quote Link to post
treecreeper 1,136
certainly cant knock their customer service, Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
Craig they are brilliant, just as accurate as far more expensive machines but small enough to take with you! Edited February 18, 2015 by secretagentmole 1 Quote Link to post
Mister Gain 1,764
Got to agree, customer support is A+++. Broke the rear casing of mine yesterday (fecking dogs fault), and ordered a replacement and it arrived in under 24 hours. Combro now repaired. Quote Link to post
Craig Fosse 286
Cheers guys ordered one and they are even taking VAT off for me because I'm in jersey, hopefully I'm praying my irregularities with the regulator are down to the cheap chrono I'm using! Quote Link to post
Craig Fosse 286
Craig they are brilliant, just as accurate as far more expensive machines but small enough to take with you!It came down today rapid time, and it's worked, it was the crap chrono I was using. Put the rifle down range and over a ten shot string I am getting +/- 3 fps spread , Set the rifle up for now and it's running well at 14 ft/lb where I get 40 reliable shots with s200!,(on FAC) Now to set the mtc mamba up and I will be good to get the last of roost shooting in February!!! Craig Fosse 286
That's more like it Craig! Impressive figures and you haven't lost much of the shot count either. That should make the S200 a cracking performer. Are you sticking with the same pellets? Order some batteries for the Combro online because if they go flat you'll pay through the nose to get them over the counter. Regards Tim I ordered some with it Timmy , yer much better, to be honest I'm not sure on the pellets, speaking to simon (piano man) he still uses the lighter pellets with his .177 which is about 16 ft/lb, I think I won't really know till I go down range and see how the exact heavies perform, ideally I would like to but I don't want to compensate over accuracy. Going with what Simon says I should stick with the lighter pellets I may go higher, as I only ever go out with two mags which is 20 shots and I reckon I could get it to 16 ft/lb but I'm going to see how it is like this first, Cheers moxy, I'm not going to lie and say I wasn't worried, to be honest I was completely trumped and was pretty screwed especially over here! I phoned Darrin at xtx today just to say thanks as he's been trying to help me but its hard being over the water(as you well know) Thanks to all that helped And as for the combro, completely rated! With VAT taken off and delivery to jersey in just two days, now that's service . 2 Quote Link to post
Craig Fosse 286
sounds like a plan buddy! Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
Load both mags and 20 pellets in an old AA Fields tin with foam disc top and bottom, that keeps things quiet. Until the lid comes off the damned tin! AA/JSB tins have to be some of the worst in history... Best to get a screw top tin or a small plastic snap tub, you can get them in small enough sizes from the £1 (or 80p - as you have no VAT) shop....
