McKinleyBhoy1 4
I am having a bit of trouble walking my pup on a lead. Without the lead he walks right by my side but when I put the lead on him he basically just sits down and won't move. I don't really want to drag him because this could make him hate the lead. Does anyone have any tips? Quote Link to post
MickyB 327
Food, there's not many dogs that wont follow chicken Quote Link to post
flipbull 1,139
Take your dog out with another dog keep both dogs on lead . Your pup should follow. Meant to say it probably won't even know it has it on, and if it does realise and refuse to move, bring the other dog on lead close by and start again and pup should follow. the big chief 3,099
all i do with mine is play with them in the back yard then clip the lead on let the pup walk around with it then just pick it up and walk where the pup walks at 1st then show the way you want to go if it stops dont pull it just wait this is the best way i found and works all the time 1 Quote Link to post

terryd 8,411
Pop him down some where interesting soon start wandering about and don't worry it wont be long before you have the next problem stopping the bugger dragging you up the road 1 Quote Link to post
gnipper 6,466
At 7 weeks I wouldn't be worried about it. Let him settle in etc and then worry about the lead after he's jabbed and can go out. 2 Quote Link to post
delboy_187 902
I'd rather drag won't get to far before shell walk . Would you lift your dog over a fence gate etc . But as above out with another dog Quote Link to post
