DogFox123 1,379
Usain Bolt set the world on fire back in 2009 smashing the 100 mtr and 200mtr world records. Since then though his times have dropped massively, in 2014 he barely broke the 10 second barrier for the 100 mtr's. Most of his fellow countrymen have been busted for taking banned substances and the entire board of the Jamaican Anti-Doping Commission resigned. Bolt swears he is a clean athlete. Is this a case of an athlete reaching his peak in 09 and naturally deteriorating or were more sinister forces at work?

bird 9,983
maybe, but just looking at him , his natural size I think gave the winning advantage he about 6 -8ins taller =longer stride, to who been running with him. h is coach said he only ever once come out the blocks to win from the front , all his other wins were with a slower start . But you never know he may have cheated , L /C did and it finished his career when they found out

gnasher16 30,470
Dedication, good genetics, talent all play an equal part in becoming a world class athlete.......all equal to who has the best chemist !.......Use your filbert why have Jamaicans recently taken over as the worlds top sprinters have they suddenly become genetically superior to everyone else ?.......Look how many of their sprinters have been caught in recent years,if im not wrong Bolt was the only one of their 4 x 100m team who hasnt been caught........todays type of stem cell enhancement can be so high tech that it will blend in completely with your own dna appearing as if it was there from birth and so is virtually undetectable.......he probably had everything it took to be the worlds greatest sprinter anyway but if your opponent is juicing and you are not you are at a basic disadvantage thats just modern day sport im afraid.

Damn sure I was quicker 6 year ago,lol Think your right there he peaked 6 years ago. Look at his stride compare to Hohan Blake's work rate. His stride played a big part init. TOMO 26,797
I would be surprised if that was his peak,,, mostly males hit there prime in late 20's early 30s,,,,especialy sports where power play a big part,,,, I think it probebal that he was using same as the other 7 men he lined up against in each race.. There might be other factors at work though as well,, it was reported early on that bolt had a back problem,,,somthing like spondylitis,, so maybe that's causing him problems,, who knows
Accip74 7,112
f**k it.....let them all take drugs & then see who's the best........besides, I'm bored with the millisecond differences in the 100m....let's see it done in 7 seconds!......that might actually spark my interest..... Is this a case of an athlete reaching his peak in 09 and naturally deteriorating or were more sinister forces at work? It may just be coincidental that his form as dipped as the tests became more stringent, did,nt some of his tests become lost?.As most Jamaican athletes train in the U.S. and their trainees received their education there, should that be taken into consideration?,the U.S. are better aware in masking drugs than most other nations, they learnt it from E.Germany. Greengrass 202
If as proven his teammates have all failed tests then I,d find it incredulous that he was /is clean, in my opinion they are all at it, hard at it, they pull out of selective competitions with so called injuries and before you know it two weeks later they are better than ever, Guilty....hang im
