tsteve9999 456
Maybe get a hob and have him vasectomised? Only need the one op then plus it was about 50 quid to get mine done, mind you that was a couple of years ago. Quote Link to post
Raymond 618
See how much a person with a hob that has the job done will charge to cover your does to take them out of season. Might work out alot cheaper for the service Quote Link to post
tomas87 18
I got a hob vascomised and it cost me £60 but when geting quotes had them double that Quote Link to post
Nobby8126 96
I've just had my hob snipped and got quoted between £74-£240 from different vets. Think a lot just pull numbers out the air. Quote Link to post

The one 8,482
That's the biggest operation to get done to keep a ferret out of season I don't think its that expensive but try getting quotes threw a ferret club Quote Link to post
budgie123 163
Try some of the ferret rescue places and you may be able to get a hob thats already been done for a donation. Quote Link to post

pongo 0
You are getting shafted I was quoted £ 25 to 30 in county Tyrone ireland just a few months ago mate Quote Link to post
Jax13 251
a lot of vets will quote high because it is an infreqent op for them and a lot will never have done them before. only one of the 6 vets in the place i use was happy to give my hob the snip yet all would have done a castrate without an issue. 1 Quote Link to post
TOMO 26,270
You are getting shafted I was quoted £ 25 to 30 in county Tyrone ireland just a few months ago mate How can a vet neuter a Jill Ferret for £25,,,,it's a major operation,,, Honestly I think 90 is a fare price ,,,,you lot are insan,,,I can understand lads getting pissed at vets charging 1000 quid for ops on dogs ect,,,, But 90 quid to open a ferret up,,,take out the womb and Fallopian tubes,,,and put it all back together again without killing the creature,,,or giving it an infection,,,, There not gutting a rabbit you know,,,,this is a living berating creature,,,that will still be living after it's been sliced open and stuck back together.. Fucks sake it 50 quid an hour for a greasy mechanic,,just to look at your car,,,that's just steel and bolts,,,,not muscle and bone and organs 4 Quote Link to post
RIP.JD 21
It does seem expensive to me, just seems a shame the jill jab is not available on line. I couldn't neutre myself but could happily give a jill jab ?, Regards Quote Link to post
