Zeroing Problems Help

Hi I'm having problems zeroing my new gun I only bought it last night filled it today after a hiccup ,it's a hw 100 with a Hawke 3-12x50 backlit scope .I've gone to zero the gun at 25 metre and it's way out to the left , I've moved it to the right and it's still out kept going and I've got to the end of turret it won't go further . It's zeroed about 2 inch to the left and is grouping perfect almost pellet on pellet to the left .any ideas why all my mounts are tight etc .

Or you could pack a little bit of tin foil or film in one or both of the mounts to twist the scope left or right .has the gun been dropped and something been bent .This doesn,t mean the gun has a problem it may just mean you have the problem you have .Are your mounts bent and over tightened

Hi mate the guns been in a cushioned case but was knocked over this morning in yard but nothing major I'll take mounts off ans have a look

Are your mounts mounted the same way i.e screws all facing the same way. Probably obvious but just a thought,

Mate of mine has the same problem with a Hawke sidewinder on a HW100k

It was perfect with his panorama scope on before

I know it sounds stupid but make sure the scope mounts are tight and fitted properly, rule everything out first and then look at packing, then it may be the scope I'm affraid

I've unscrewed everything and retightened them both mounts are exactly the same way I'll try zeroing it tomorrow see what happens I hope it's not the scope

Daft as it seems, try a couple of shots with your mod off, just in case it's bent.

Yes mate, it may be clipping the mod on the pellets way out, I have seen it before

when taking the moderator of be careful the barrel doesent turn round it the action mine did .so I have not taken mine of yet it is tight on the barrel so I will have to clamp the barrel first some how .

your barrel screw might need nipping up a bit
