Still own property in the town and would quite happily live there for ever. There is a good commercial shoot I used to beat on, Braxton Park I think it was called. Spent much of my life in & around Colchester........good little town......I used to play golf on a 9 hole called braxted park, seem to have many pheasants about, maybe the same? One of the main reasons i joined this site though was to find shooting buddies maybe a potential Mentor on fox shooting but many people i speak to are far and wide which is understandable seeing as good shooting land is further away. It just seems like Essex is under so much shooting pressure being so close to London does this mean i should be looking further out only i really dont want to have to drive a hour out my way every time i want to get out. Also living in Essex all i seem to see is Range Rovers so how many people on here do actually drive them on shoots not land rovers or discoverys but Range Rover Sports. Nick It would be great if we could all just open our doors and walk to our preferred pastimes,if you get the chance to shoot anywhere take it,local is a bonus I worked in essex for a couple of year used to walk from halstead to gosfield caravan park most fri/sat/sunday nights the amount of things running about was unbelievable, get permission first though good luck Quote Link to post Share on other sites
