krawnden 1,036
My bushing pup's going from strength to strength and gets loads of game on the move now. On this afternoon's walk she pushed about a dozen rabbits out- fantastic. Unfortunately every now and then the lurcher's just a bit half hearted about it and today he had one of those runs. Instead of committing to it 110% he just eased off the gas - http://youtu.be/gBEy6qdVGRI Quote Link to post
gnipper 6,523
Is it only the short runs he's half hearted on? Quote Link to post

krawnden 1,036
Is it only the short runs he's half hearted on? I would say it's mostly when he thinks he's not going to catch... and of course that becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy Quote Link to post

And to be fair, for the most part he's not like that... Quote Link to post
wuyang 513
Yep that was a bit disappointing. I can see where your coming from.....can be frustrating, I've had one where I had to close my eyes sometimes when he was closing in close to the hedge....luckily never got injured from it. My retired bitch was a bit like that...gob smackingly sharp one minute then almost....not much I can do about that one...and hold back a bit too soon. Quote Link to post
