hairy biker 14
What distance do you zero at with .22 air rifle Quote Link to post
hairy biker 14
28 yards Any perticular reason why 28 yards? Quote Link to post
jocky 198
28 yard is the highest point of the pellet when in flight, Quote Link to post
Rez 4,961
30 myself. For the same reason. His FPE will be different to my own hence the 2 yard difference. 1 Quote Link to post
Stoater 21
At 28 yards range and zeroed spot on, with a 16 grain .22 pellet in an HW100, what range would you expect your first/primary zero to be at? 14 yards?? Quote Link to post
Murphydog 30
At 28 yards range and zeroed spot on, with a 16 grain .22 pellet in an HW100, what range would you expect your first/primary zero to be at? 14 yards?? That depends. If, as above, the zero is at the pellet flight highest point then there will be only the one zero. If you're zero is as the pellet is dropping again then there will be a primary zero but this will be different in every case. 1 Quote Link to post
villaman 9,983
Depends on power of your gun ,what weight pellets you are using and BC , scope height . In my .22 I zero at thirty two yards with Falco accuracy plus 13.4gr Have a look on chairgun and play around with it with different scenario's 1 Quote Link to post
pianoman 3,587
25 metres. That's 27 yards. For same reasons above. Everything else beyond that range is a bit of holdover, and it enables me to hit pretty much any rabbit or whatever at all likely distances. 1 Quote Link to post
Craig Fosse 286
simon, its interesting if im wrong but don't you use the same for .177 too? Quote Link to post
Rez 4,961
simon, its interesting if im wrong but don't you use the same for .177 too? Cos you just aim dead on at anything out to 40 paces Get the scope lower on the rail than my nanniz titties and your pretty much half inch out to that distance. Quote Link to post
The one 8,511
23mtrs but that only because it's the distance between my two garages if I'm just clipping the top of the bull it's usually spot on at 25 mtrs Quote Link to post
jocky 198
i zero my .177 at 37 yards Quote Link to post
Craig Fosse 286
So Rez if I zero at 27 yards with a .177 what distances are you aiming centre at for a killing shot? Quote Link to post
hairy biker 14
If I list my pellet weight scope height and fps would someone be able to work out my ideal zero for me? Quote Link to post
