Pianomans Bang on with 40 m with 177 I do 40 yards just because it's easer on hold over with the mill dots And works out for me at 5 yard increments on the 1/2 mill dot Dave

To be honest Craig it depends on what I'm going after. 25 metres is good for general woodland shooting for pigeons and squirrels and static shooting in   If I'm after rabbits in open fields with .22

David dont start me off ( and a few others ) about Daystate! I bought a Regal, after a load of hassle it now shoots as it was designed to. Basically I have rebuilt it and fiddled about for eight month

At 28 yards range and zeroed spot on, with a 16 grain .22 pellet in an HW100, what range would you expect your first/primary zero to be at? 14 yards??

That depends. If, as above, the zero is at the pellet flight highest point then there will be only the one zero. If you're zero is as the pellet is dropping again then there will be a primary zero but this will be different in every case.

Depends on power of your gun ,what weight pellets you are using and BC , scope height .

In my .22 I zero at thirty two yards with Falco accuracy plus 13.4gr

Have a look on chairgun and play around with it with different scenario's

simon, its interesting if im wrong but don't you use the same for .177 too?

Cos you just aim dead on at anything out to 40 paces :)

Get the scope lower on the rail than my nanniz titties and your pretty much half inch out to that distance.
