neil cooney 10,416
A friend uses a folding .410 and his has the legal minimum barrel so it will fit in a game bag and it's a great tool as is the .22. But the beauty of the 12 gauge is that you can use one at the end of a dig and if he bolts too. I had one lad with me Sunday with one gun and it was used both at the end of some digs and a bolt ,the one gun got 5 foxes. Edited February 10, 2015 by neil cooney Quote Link to post
trapliner 92
I like to take the .410 and the twelve with us just find using the twelve in the dig fills it full of smoke so can't always tell that the quarry is dispatched especially when they are peeping so prefer smaller caliber for job. kirstysdad 827
I use a folding 12g. Good if one bolts and very cheap to buy paid 25pounds for my one 8years ago still going strong folds in half and fits inside coat Quote Link to post
dewi 188
Use a .410 myself but a mate carries a 12G for bolters and a .410 adapter for the end of dig cheaper, quieter and less messy cracking bit of kit... Quote Link to post
