Omanyra 2,518
I wouldn't be put off by them supposed to be dated.... They are still a good camera.. My camera is 12.3 mega pixels and I'm continually being told this is not enough, bunkum I print off to a3 for competitions and 12.3 Is more than enough for this I've never had a d90 but know a few people who had, and where happy with the results but on saying that they have moved on You can pick up a used d300 which is a semi pro camera on ebay for a not much more are they are a far better camera, Undisputed had some good lenses for sale the other week that would suit a d90
Cleanspade 3,324
Cheers i have been offered one at a very good price. it is about half the pixels of what ive been using but i dont print anything bigger than A4 so cant see it being a problem. there is a flash unit and a battery pack with it so i think i will go for it i dont think it can make my pictures any worse . i think i am a little away from semi pro just yet but will keep your advice in mind. thanks for the reply. i will upload a pic or two from the D90 once i get it . cs

mattybugeye 884
Lense wise just something fast if I don't need the zoom my favourite lense in my nikon dx 35mm 1.8 means doing more footwork but nice sharp pics and great bokeh
Cleanspade 3,324
well i got it. the camera i have been using is 20.1 megapixel. so down to twelve now. but i have got it for 250 with case three batteries and the batterypack and a flash unit and 16 gig card. and an 18-55 vr lens will give it a try tomorrow once ive played with it. now i will need to offload my sony and lenses to buy a decent lens. thanks for your interest ps mattybugeye i was looking at the 7000. feels good in my hands as it is a little bigger than the sony. i cant seem to take to smaller camera,s. the monkey 339
Don't worry aBout pixel count The sensor is the same as the d300 and that's a semi pro lens How much can you get the d90 for I use a d300 and print to a3 so pixel count doesn't matter Save money on the body and buy decent glass
