owen12345 43
Hi my name is Owen I am new to ferreting.I am looking for permission to work my ferrets in South Wales area I have approached many farmers, 24 to be exact but none of them will give me permission. I have been shouted at, threatened to be shot if I'm found on his land, many have told me they have no rabbits on their premisses, I know for one or two places which are public footpaths with plenty of rabbits, I know this is classed as Poaching but it seems I have no alternative, does anybody have any tips or suggestions for me please would be much appreciated. Thanking you, Owen. Quote Link to post
1Wally 204
Keep on looking for permissions mate. Personally though I wouldn't feel the need to ask this question, I'd already be out there doing what I want, permission or not. Quote Link to post
pie-eater 377
I used to poach all the time when I had no permission. Might be best to steer clear of the farmer that threatened to shoot you though if you do decide to poach lol. 7 Quote Link to post
comanche 3,038
Stick an ad in a local paper or farm shop. You may have no replies . You may just get a call from some elderly lady or gardener with a single rabbit in compost heap. Don't turn it down. Its a foot in the door and elderly ladies are great at spreading the word. 3 Quote Link to post
