McKinleyBhoy1 4
I will be getting my pup jagged when it is old enough! I am just looking for information. I know multiple people who have had dogs who have never had there injections and the dogs have been fine. I know people who’s dogs have had injections but have died of horrible diseases. If the pups parents, grandparents and their partners have all had the injections then surely by now the dog should be protected without having to get the injections. Is this just a farce and a way for the vet to make money by scare mongering people into thinking if your dog doesn’t get its injections then it will become sick and possibly catch something. arcticgun 4,548
I think personally its all a bit of a rip off but still jab pups just in case don't do annual boosters though, just keep clean kennels and go to vets when required 1 Quote Link to post
slip lead 862
The boosters are a rip off,but puppy jabs are a must and maybe the first booster. 1 Quote Link to post
DanRaistrick 53
I was told off my vet that the puppy jabs last up to 7 years as the diseases don't mutate as fast as some i.e. human influenza - although I'm not 100% sure this is correct. I've only ever had them jabbed as pups, never any boosters and never had a dog with any type of disease. 1 Quote Link to post
LIGHT ON LIGHTS OUT 71
My vet says have puppy jabs and booster, all rest isnt needed 1 Quote Link to post
McKinleyBhoy1 4
I know At about 7/8 weeks then 10/11/12 weeks and you'll be fine after that, I get mine from the hunt kennel down the road for £7 each so I can't complain. I know someone that can do them also. so its alot better paying £10 rather than getting ripped off by the vets. Quote Link to post

boyo 1,398
Was told by three independent vets years ago at coursing meetings get them jabbed as pups & booster a year later then dont bother from then on. One said thats vets call yearly jabs their holiday fund!! 2 Quote Link to post
