Hi I've got a week old walther rotex r8 177cal for swap wanting another Pcp in 177 must be ambi or lefthander cheers accurate little gun is the r8 but not for me

I've never had one before or fired one but the gun is really loud from the back of the gun when I put a hw silencer on it the rear of the gun is really loud and it's silent from the muzzle so been told this is a fault any help will be appreciated pal

can you feel air blowing from the breech, if not it could be the tranfer port seals, but at a week old it needs to be returned to the shop for replacement

Get them to check the power as well mate, you dont want it back doing 7ftlbs, and have to take it back again.

They go off like a cannon in 177 bud mines got hw mod on and its not the quietist think its summat to do wi the hammer cos mine sounds louder at the rear aswel if its under warranty take it back to shop an get it checked

Had gun back to shop and there's nothing wrong with it doing just over 11ftlbs no leaks nothing it's just the noise of the hammer he told me so I'm happy now cheers for all your help lads think I'm going to keep it now as it is accurate little thing

To get the power up to 11+ they will have had to put a stronger hammer spring in, over the .22, how do you find the trigger, if its a little heavy, it is easy to mod into a nice two stage trigger, if you want to know how, pm me and I will tell you how to do it.

True, so shoot with the dismal trigger until the warranty expires then mod it into a nice two stage number and the mod is easy to reverse, so nobody would be any the wiser anyway.

Back up for swaps this now comes with a&m titchey silencer and accushot mini tactical utg 3x12x44 ir scope

Dismal trigger .. utter dross !! ... and a potentially dangerous unautherised modification .. tinkering with triggers is something best left to gunsmiths and manufacturers .. a bit of knowledge is dangerous.
