Fieldsporthunter 1,864
Just googled it. I feed gain 28 but when I look at the ingredients, this looks better to me than the gain. I don't understand all the ingredients, most are the same vitamins and minerals etc. but gain has more cereal, whereas this has more meat. Am I right in thinking this or am I totally off the mark? Any one tryed gain record breaker I've been using it for a while. the first two ingredients are fresh chicken 22% dried chicken 22% its £20 a bag and as far as dry food goes for £20 and under I can't find nothing better. Fresh Chicken, try sending Gain an email or letter, asking them what part of the Bird is used in their product. Most certainly cuts that are by products of the chicken industry such as head, neck, wings, gizzard, heart, liver etc. . . this is all good chicken to a dog as I have yet to meet any dog with human values that would rather eat only prime cuts and waste the rest.

You forgot to add Beaks, and feet, i agree, dogs will eat this, and could do okay, but what i cant understand is the lack of transparency, from Complete dog food manufacturers, i emailed the most popular used on this site, asking what part of the Chicken was used in their feed, that was two years ago, I never received an answer from any of them, so it would appear to me, they don't want the public to know, you wont see any ingredients stating Beaks, heads and feet, Im not against completes, i use them to mix with raw, just cant stand the secrecy with ingredients.

Im happy with whatever is in (chicken wise) as I don't believe there is a better dry food for £20 and under.... I don't think there's better for £35. I also use it for a mixer. offtheradar 175
Is nobody using CSJ anymore, I had to stop feeding raw and got CSJ hike on (31%) for just under £22 a bag. The mutts had no trouble swapping diets and doing well on it

Which CSJ were you feeding? I seem to be feeding about half of what I used to. I had to swap to dry as the raw was going straight through shepherd pup (the lurcher is on dry and raw)
dodger 2,761
I feed mainly raw meself but do give dry a couple time a week as for csj I tried a few over some time the complete tripe, fit n fast, super champ n even the no grainer but I think there's just to much wheat n beat pulp in there stuff now, I use greenwoods now n find it a lot better n even tho it still has some beat pulp in the waste is a lot less ; )

To be fair to the CSJ stuff though the waste that my dogs produce is quite reasonable
