There is a lot that are good dogs just in wrong hands.

What l mean by that is people put more time in then others and get the results.

Sometimes its nothing to do with breeding or lines.

There is men out there that will always have good dogs because there testing there dogs 2,3 times a week while others are getting out once a week

very true, plus how well their being tested,

what about a dog not getting out sometimes weeks on end and can still go out and do it ..dog either has it or it hasnt.its all about heart.
Depends on where there doing it??? A dog out for weeks your not going bring it to big land IMO there some dogs that being off weeks does not even afact its fitness

That's rubbish nans, heart is vital yes I agree but it's not the only ingredient to make a good dog, a dog lying in the pens for weeks can't be expected to go out and run top hares on great ground maybe 1 not 3/4, they be found wanting due to bad ownership

Both places test a dog in a different way.To get a dog that can do great on any land there few and far between.

Dogs like race horses some are better on one ground then another

this in my opinion is a decent first season dog, the first thing il be looking at is the time of year the next thing id be looking at is the quality of the hare and then i wud be looking at the ground he was running on which is wet seed which is not easy on the dog, plus every yard is a turn which is what i like, he not a super star but an honest first season dog

would have to agree with you there banner man seen the dog runnin first hand and can do it in tricky places too strong dog on an hare has everything you would like in a first season dog and if he improves as you would expect next year he should be a right little dog pal.
