Best Lamping Book

What's the best book to read for a beginner that is looking for some good tips or story's about lamping.

I liked frank sheardown the lurchet training and hunting. My first book I read and referred to with my first pup.

Personally my faveriout book is the one by bill dohchaty,,,deerhounds and lurchers,,a good few lamping story's in that,,as well as other bits about lurchers in genral..

 

I'm also lead to belive there's a new lamping book out soon,,I think it's just about lamping ,,and folks story's

But a good lamping book with dogs that do or did everything would be worth a read

just looked on the net few pics has it owt to do with minshaw

 

It's not by Minshaw, it's by Joey Finnan. He did have dogs with Minshaw breeding in them.

This is one of my favourite books. Very good for the first two thirds or so but it did seem to run out of steam a bit towards the end.

I like Bill Doherty's book too though it's not all that long. His other book, "A bird in the hand" is really good too if you like keeping native birds.

Tell guy downt pub he needs to add more deerhound blood in his dogs, they have a pretty good IQ as far as running dogs go

Ain't got a preference mate, as long as both parents can graft and are both lurchers then I'm interested. As long as they can he seen grafting, and the owner is breeding for himself and not the coin, then that's more important to me than the ingredients. Iv seen few good dogs over the years and they come in all shapes an sizes and crosses.
