Anyone else up for it? Anyone on the list not going? (Like Tarquin)?

Yes,

There are one or two lads names on the list that have been very quite of late. There are 30 pegs booked for this match which we will have to pay for regardless of how many turn up on the day. As of now there are 20 names down. If you can't make it for whatever reason, please let me know because I may be able to drop the pegs required down to 25/20 beforehand, thus saving us money on the pegging fees, which means more money for the charity.

Cheers,

Arch.

I'd drop it down anyway mate. 20 should be fine as there's only 20 on the list to begin with. If there's any others want to come, I'm sure we can sort something.

That's if the venue will accept it. Seems a bit silly to pay for 1 1/2 pegs each if we don't have to.

Will that mean we don't have the lake to ourselves?

We never had it all anyway Joe. There are 50?? pegs on the lake and Rita wanted too much money to book all of them.

Out of interest how much are the pegs ??

We are being charged £6 per peg, (Should be £7) but we all dib in £20 and the difference is given the the charity. We will still have to pay for 30 pegs if only 15 fish. Unless I can get the booked peg numbers reduced.

Thats why I'd like to know if people aren't fishing.

I got a bit stressed last year in the lead up to the comp, thinking would be people turn up, would it be a success, would the camping/venue be ok etc. My fears were all unfounded as everybody pulled together and a good time was had by all and a good chunk was raised again.

I don't doubt for a minute this years will be any different, I think with this event the actual fishing is secondary to the fund raising and the craic thats had by all. I'm looking forward to it again, meeting up with some like minded people again and getting to meet some new faces too.

Tight lines guys, I'm sure Arch will have organised a great weekend for us. :victory:
